Torticollis and Plagiocephaly: Early Signs Parents Can Watch For

Torticollis (tightness on one side of the neck) and plagiocephaly (a flattened area of the skull) are common in infants and often appear together. Signs include a preferred head-turning direction, a visibly flat spot, or reduced neck range of motion on one side.

Pediatric physiotherapy can help with gentle stretching, positioning strategies, and movement exercises. As with most developmental concerns, earlier assessment generally means simpler treatment.
